UAW LOCALS 122 RETIREE’S CHAPTER MEETING MINUTES Sept 13, 2024

 

Retiree Chairman Joseph Guarino called the meeting to order on Friday September 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

The pledge of allegiance was recited followed by a moment of silence for the recently deceased retiree members.

Chairman Joseph Guarino welcomed members from Retiree Chapter 573 that were there for 2025 Benefit update.

Chairman Joseph Guarino requested a motion to suspend the meeting for presentation of the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust 2025 Updates and all healthcare plans. Healthcare providers were in attendance for questions/concerns. A motion was made and seconded.

Any remaining 2024 OTC benefit dollars must be used by Dec. 31, 2024-unused dollars will not carry over.
Beginning January 1, 2025, the annual OTC allowance is $350, per member.

NEW FLEX CARDS AND CATALOGS WILL NOT BE MAILED.
Your current card will be reloaded with funds on January 1, 2025.

Meeting continued with Chairman Joseph Guarino.

Recording Secretary, Ellen Douglas asked for a motion to accept June 14, 2024, meeting minutes as written. A motion was made and seconded. The meeting minutes were accepted.

Region 2B Ohio Chair Bob Masterson, swore in the elected officers from the June 14, 2024, meeting.

Chairman Joseph Guarino entertained a motion to vote on adding Associated Members and Transfer Members to our local. Votes were taken and approved as listed below:

In our democratic society, your vote matters. Do not let confusion about voting keep you from exercising your right to vote. Don’t just vote for the presidential candidates, read the ballot. Vote for Congress and Senators as well.

Next meeting is December 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Don’t forget to bring dessert for the December meeting to share with membership.

Motion was made and second to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 PM and lunch followed.
