Retiree Chairperson Joseph Guarino called the meeting to order on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 am.  The pledge of allegiance was said followed by a moment of silence for the recently deceased retiree members.

Chairperson Joseph Guarino asked for a motion to accept the December 11, 2022 meetings minutes as written.  A motion was made and second.  The meeting minutes were accepted.

Chairperson Report:  Joseph Guarino stated the Trust has added an over the counter (OTC) benefit giving eligible members an annual allowance of $150 for Medicare Advantage (MA) PPO and Enhanced Care PPO (ECP).  $50 to Traditional Care Network (TCN), to order approved non-prescription medications and health related items such as bandages, aspirin, cold and sinus medicine, and vitamins and minerals up to twice per calendar year.  To place and order either call 877-218-9951, or mail the form you received the product catalog in January, visit uawtrust.org/OTCbenefit or download the Nations OTC mobile app.  Your selection will be mailed to your home.

Important: You must use your full allowance in two orders placed at any during the year.  The OTC allowance is an annual benefit but the unused balance will not be carried over to next year.  You’ll lose and balance not used.  Products may not be purchased somewhere else and submitted for reimbursement.

Chairperson Guarino introduce Larry Doyle, UAW Region 2-B Council Secretary.  Brother Doyle had a message to the retirees: one vote, one man, or one person, one vote, express the principle that individuals should have equal representation in voting.
