UAW LOCALS 122 & 573 RETIREE’S MEETING MINUTES

Chairman Brother Phil Schmiedl called the meeting to order on Friday June 11, 2021 at 11:15 am.  The pledge of allegiance was said followed by a moment of silence for the recently deceased members.
Chairman Brother Phi Schmiedl stated the current pandemic has affected all of us in ways we could have never imagined.  Encouraged retirees to stay 3 to 6 feet of each other to limit COVID-19 transmission risk.

OLD BUSINESS
Members are having difficulty clarifying the UAW Retirees Benefit Representatives office for assistance.  Financial Secretary Tom Scheutzow stated he will get clarification and report to the membership at the next meeting September 10th, 2021.

NEW BUSINESS
Rule according to the Retirees By-laws at the September.10, 2021 meeting nomination and election shall occur for the executive board UAW Local 122 Retiree Chapter is holding it’s 2021 Election to fill Executive Board positions.  All good standing retirees and surviving spouses can accept nominations.

Family members from Deceased Vice Chairman Fred Kelly expressed how grateful they were for Brother’s Phil Schmiedl and Thomas Scheutzow for the comfort and support that was shown to their father. The raffle was held and three prizes were awarded.

Next meeting September 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Gambitta’s Party Center, 160 East Aurora Rd., Northfield, OH 44067.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm and a lunch followed.
