Chairman Brother Schmiedl called the meeting to order on Friday September 13, 2019 at 11:00 am.  The pledge of allegiance was said followed by a moment of silence for the recently deceased members.  Friday, June 14, 2019 meeting minutes were read and were accepted as read.

Black Lake Region 2-B UAW Leadership week was held July 14-July 19, 2019 at the Walter and May Reuther UAW Family Education Center in Onaway, Michigan.  UAW Local 122 & 573 Retirees Chapter were represented by Marvel Collins Jr. and Jessie Jones.  Marvel Collins Jr. spoke about his experiences during his week at Black Lake, how beautiful the UAW Training Center was.  The International Union responded to retirees requesting the information about how to get information on health benefits.  Being told that all retirees are not from the auto industry that have Benefit Plan Representatives to assist with benefits issues/concerns.  Therefore, each day a Health Care Provider along with the Medical Trust explained health, dental, vision benefits.  We also had several social activities, trips and visits to the surrounding areas. 

GMC is first to negotiated followed by Ford then FCA.  Currently GM is on Strike.  Our resolutions were submitted to the International UAW Negotiating Team.

Providers were supposed to attend the meeting.  He apologized for them not attending.

The raffle was held and two prizes given.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm and a lunch followed.
